About Us

We are a vibrant Lodge of over thirty members. Ages vary from the 30s all the way up to the 80s, although any age from 18 is welcome! Most members live in and around Witney and surrounding villages and towns.

There are an eclectic mix of people and professions and in our number have Bankers, Builders, Osteopaths, current and retired Armed Forces Personnel, Civil Servants, Gas Engineers, Councillors, Small Business Owners, Estate Agents and IT Professionals.

The Lodge meets formally five times a year between the months of April to August at the Witney Masonic Hall, Church Green, Witney, Oxon, OX28 6AW. It also holds more informal Lodges of Rehearsal and Instruction, which allow Brethren to help learn and progress in the craft, as well as to socialise and become better acquainted with each other. The Witta's Island Lodge is a Craft Masonic Lodge, working the Ritus Oxoniensis ritual. The Lodge is in the Masonic Province of Oxfordshire, under the jurisdiction of the United Grand Lodge of England.

We have a number of additional social occasions throughout the year that include family and friends. It is an exceptionally happy, relaxed Lodge and we are very proud of this.
